Extraneous Articles Worth Reading

Much like this year as a whole, the blog post I’m currently working on has taken a number of unexpected twists and turns… which basically means I need to dedicate more time to it before publishing.

While you’re waiting I obviously encourage everyone to read my archived posts, but there are a few extraneous articles that I highly recommend reading when you get a chance. The subjects and writing styles make each of them completely captivating and entirely worth your attention.

When I wrote the first version of this topic, my husband – lovingly – rolled his eyes and said, “Why would anyone choose to read about reading?” Granted, this was coming from someone whose favorite book is My Side of the Mountain because it’s one of the five books he’s ever read, but I posted it anyway. High School Books You Should (re)Read

One of the most common responses I get when I tell people I was a high school English teacher is “I didn’t actually read anything in high school” usually followed by “and nothing’s changed.” And then they laugh, as if that’s something unique.

The thing is, is that writing about Ataxia every week gets kind of depressing. And when I need to distract myself, I read. Or write. In this case, both.
